It was a week spent at home, working and cycling. The weather was typical March weather: some rainy and windy days, but also some nice and sunny days, and a clear upward trend in the temperature. Most of the pictures in this week’s collection were taken while cycling or walking the dog.

On Sunday morning, as usual on weekends, I started the day with a walk with Mochi. The sky over the beach was very nice:

Later on Sunday, I went for my usual bike ride, this time to Villajoyosa, the lovely little town just south of Benidorm. As I usually do on this ride, I stopped at a secluded beach just before the town, called Playa Bol Nou. The air was really clear and Alicante was clearly visible across the bay:

The weather was nice but the tide was high and it was very windy:

Because of the strong wind, the beach was largely deserted except for this woman:

I moved on to the centre of Villajoyosa with its colourful houses along the beach:

This lucky woman can enjoy the beach right from her balcony:

In the afternoon, I went to have a beer on 100 Montaditos. It was windy and cloudy:

No people in the sand, the seagulls had it to themselves:

A couple more images from Playa San Juan from later in the week. I liked the symmetry of this scene:

A snippet from the office. I was participating in a small meeting, with some of the participants online. Our Portuguese colleague Filipa in the process of connecting the online participants:

One day, while walking in the city, I was intrigued by this poster. The text says, “Ãlvaro, you cheated me, I have the pictures to prove it”. But it was just clever advertising. Following the QR code led to an advert for some concert:

My early morning bike ride on Thursday. Glorious sky seen from El Campello, with the fishing boat on its way to the harbour:

On my way home from work that afternoon, I stopped to photograph the rain falling over the northern part of Alicante:

On Saturday morning it was sunny, and Mochi and I went for our walk to the beach:
