Back from the trip to Antwerp, I returned to the usual routine of work, cycling, walking Mochi (who is still with us while our daughter gets settled in Barcelona), and generally enjoying the nice September weather.

I start with some photos taken while walking Mochi, mostly at sunrise. This one is well before sunrise, a cat eyeing us warily:

There is a bus stop about 100 m down the street from our house:

Sunrise is always beautiful this time of year, mainly because the sky usually has some clouds instead of the boring blue sky in July/August:

And then Valérie from the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre in Brussels who visited us to start work on a project we will be doing together:

The WeRead book club had its monthly meeting one evening. The book of the month was “Educated” by Tara Westover, and as usual, I took a photo of the books on the table. This time we did not have so much linguistic variety, all the copies are in the original English except for one, a Finnish translation:

One of my afternoon visits to 100 Montaditos on Playa San Juan provided me with some photo opportunities. Some people, rather well dressed for the beach, were setting up a party in the sand:

On Sunday I cycled to Aigües, as I often do on weekends, and saw this “wall” on the square:

A multilingual explanation was provided. The idea was evidently to celebrate the diversity of the people in this little town:
