Week 07: Wind in Alicante

Last week the weather in Alicante was unusual. Not only did it rain for the first time this year (although not much), it was cloudy for a couple of days, and a steady wind was blowing from the Mediterranean. On Thursday I drove down to a beach near my office to have a look, and the first 3 images are the result.

The wind is blowing sand and salt onto the beach. In the distance the Arenales del Sol subdivision:

The last two alternates are from Sunday, when I was completing the drive from the Netherlands to Spain in my wife’s car.

Several hours later, I am approaching Alicante. I was getting bored to put it mildly, so I entertained myself by taking some pictures while driving on the A7 motorway, here somewhere between Valencia and Benidorm:
