After all the travelling in the first part of the month, this was an ordinary week spent working, cycling and enjoying Alicante life.

It is always a good idea to turn around and look at what is being illuminated by the setting sun:

Cats on Calle Tridente, on my way to the gym. This is a large abandoned plot of land with some leftover construction materials which provide shelter for a large number of cats. People from the surrounding neighbourhood feed them:

One day we went for lunch at a new restaurant on the beach near my office, called Moments. It is an expansion of one of our perennial favourite restaurants, Capricho de Raquel, so we came with high expectations and were not disappointed. Both the surroundings and the food were excellent:

On Friday afternoon we had a wine tasting at the office. Natalie Opstaele and her husband are originally from Belgium but have run a winery in South Africa since about 2000. Here, Natalie checks the wine before the tasting begins:

The tasting is over, and Natalie relaxes with her sister, who works at our office (that is why Natalie was in Alicante in the first place):

The eating and drinking continued Saturday evening, when we were invited to a BBQ at the home of a Dutch-Spanish couple in Benidorm. Here are two (Spanish) guys at work:
