Not a spectacular week, certainly nothing exciting like the trip to Liverpool the previous week. But an after-work drink with friends, a lunch with Eri, walks with Mochi and some cloudy skies for a change still made it a nice week.

I start with some photos taken during morning walks with our dog Mochi. A cat watches us from a safe vantage point:

It was a rainy and windy night:

Tuesday was another cloudy, rainy and windy day. Very unusual for Alicante, so on the way to work I stopped by the beach to take some pictures. The wind was blowing in from the Mediterranean. Here, looking north towards El Campello:

My office faces the sea, and normally I have the view of the Mediterranean under a blue sky. But not today:

On Wednesday after work I joined some people from my old department for a drink in a wine bar in the centre. Bérengère (French) in conversation with John (Irish):

On Friday I had lunch with my dear friend Eri. This time we went to a place neither one of us had visited before, a Georgian restaurant. Eri is studying the menu:

Georgian cuisine is amazing, and the country also has the honour of having invented wine; based on archeological evidence wine was produced there 8000 years ago. These were our appetisers:

This is my favourite Georgian dish, khinkali, a dumpling designed to be eaten hand-held:

I instructed Eri on the proper technique:

We stayed and talked for quite a while:

Friday night was another night of wind and rain, and the effects were in evidence on Saturday morning, although by then things had calmed down:

I let Mochi get closer to the water’s edge this time:

Later on Saturday, I went for my usual bike ride to Agost. The clouds around the village Verdegás looked like rain, but I stayed dry:

The cats were out and about in Verdegás. This one was watching me warily:

When I came home, my wife had decreed that Mochi needed a bath after the beach walk, providing my with further photo opportunities:
