This week is dominated by weather. The alleged summer in the Netherlands seemingly ended at the beginning of August. The rain is a nuisance, but it does make the sky look more interesting:

One afternoon, the sky over my house looked like this:

When it does not rain, the mornings are hazy, like here:

But sometimes we do get blue sky, and then it is time to head out for a walk. The town on whose outskirts I live, Almere, is only 30 years old, so you will not find much of the typical charming Dutch architecture. But it does have its own personality. Here is the newly built town centre:
