Not much happening this week, so the blog is shorter than usual.

I went out for dinner one evening with a visiting economist from the OECD; the food at the restaurant César Anca was spectacular, both for the eyes and for the palate:

On Friday, Monica and I went to see a multimedia exhibition about Van Gogh’s life and art, called Van Gogh Alive:

A recreation of Van Gogh’s painting of his bedroom in Arles:

The heart of the exhibition is a series of projections on big screens accompanied by music. Quite spectacular:

At the end of the exhibition there is a space for children to draw and display the results:

Afterwards, we went for a drink at a nearby bar. We sat outside and enjoyed our drinks and the company:

At the weekend, I was out in the mountains on my bicycle as usual. An old, overpainted van in the middle of a field caught my eye:

As did this headless statue near Agost:

A utility box in Aigües has been made to look a lot more interesting than the previous dull grey:

A couple of images from the beach, but at the end of the day rather than at sunrise. The sun sets behind the mountains but sometimes it results in pretty colours in the sky opposite, as it did on this particular evening:
