It was grilled halloumi cheese and courgette, in a salsa verde. Here are the goodies before being placed on the BBQ. It turned out delicious:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2024\/23_1.jpg\" alt=\"R000449\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>23_2<\/strong><br \/>\nOf course I also cycled during the weekend, this time to Jijona where the main street (where I usually take a break) was closed by the police. The reason soon became apparent: a Corpus Cristi procession:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2024\/23_2.jpg\" alt=\"1040159\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>23_3<\/strong><br \/>\nCarrying pieces of the altar which will be used to celebrate Mass right in the middle of the street:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2024\/23_3.jpg\" alt=\"1040163\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>23_4<\/strong><br \/>\nThe participants were of all ages&#8230;:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2024\/23_4.jpg\" alt=\"1040162\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>23_5<\/strong><br \/>\nAnd a variety of sizes too:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2024\/23_5.jpg\" alt=\"1040167\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>23_6<\/strong><br \/>\nAs usual, I stopped at the beach bar 100 Montaditos, for a pint and to do some people watching. These two children made a nice symmetric tableau:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2024\/23_6.jpg\" alt=\"DSF3792\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>23_7<\/strong><br \/>\nThese two are doing more normal beach stuff:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2024\/23_7.jpg\" alt=\"DSF3793\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>23_8<\/strong><br \/>\nOne morning, during my pre-work bike ride, a very different beach view:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2024\/23_8.jpg\" alt=\"1040173\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>23_9<\/strong><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2024\/23_9.jpg\" alt=\"1040172\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>23_10<\/strong><br \/>\nOn Friday Eri and I had lunch at a restaurant in the centre. She works on our communications, and the following week a media campaign that she had been working on for weeks was starting. Unfortunately, this meant that we were disturbed by a couple of phone calls:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2024\/23_10.jpg\" alt=\"DSF3799\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>23_11<\/strong><br \/>\nWe were at a traditional neighbourhood restaurant called Bodegas Gambin.
