But even during the rest of the week, most mornings there were interesting cloud formations, and since this was a busy week at work, and I therefore did not get out much except when walking the dog, clouds feature prominently this week.<\/p>\n<p><strong>43_1<\/strong><br \/>\nA little girl who does not mind the rain:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2012\/43_1.jpg\" alt=\"_1000298\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>43_2<\/strong><br \/>\nMore wall art from my neighbourhood:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2012\/43_2.jpg\" alt=\"_1000300\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>43_3<\/strong><br \/>\nThe almost-deserted beach at Villajoyosa. The water is still warm enough to swim, though:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2012\/43_3.jpg\" alt=\"SFX_2012_8_5\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>43_4<\/strong><br \/>\nThe first of four cloud pictures. This one is from one evening when I stopped by a local supermarket to buy some basics on my way home from work. When loading the purchases into my car, I noticed the nice sky with the illuminated Castillo Santa B\u00c3\u00a1rbara:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2012\/43_4.jpg\" alt=\"DSF0909\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>43_5<\/strong><br \/>\nWe live on a small, closed street with about 30 houses. There are still a few empty plots, and this one usually provides me with a good view of the sky when I walk Cheeta in the morning. This is how it looked on Tuesday morning:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2012\/43_5.jpg\" alt=\"DSF0913\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>43_6<\/strong><br \/>\nSame place, Wednesday morning:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2012\/43_6.jpg\" alt=\"DSF0915\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>43_7<\/strong><br \/>\nAnd Thursday morning:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2012\/43_7.jpg\" alt=\"DSF0917\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>43_8<\/strong><br \/>\nThursday evening we had the monthly wine tasting at the office. There is a serious side to it, but let&#8217;s face it, it is mostly about having a good time:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2012\/43_8.jpg\" alt=\"IGP6565\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>43_9<\/strong><br \/>\nThe successive wines to be analysed are poured by volunteers:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2012\/43_9.jpg\" alt=\"IGP6563\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>43_10<\/strong><br \/>\nCorinne with a bottle:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2012\/43_10.jpg\" alt=\"IGP6567\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Finally, three pictures from our cooking at the weekend. My wife and I are alone now that the children are at university in the UK, but we make a conscious effort to still cook proper food and not just graze.<\/p>\n<p><strong>43_11<\/strong><br \/>\nSaturday, my wife made <em>moules<\/em> and homemade Belgian fries for lunch:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2012\/43_11.jpg\" alt=\"DSF0923\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>43_12<\/strong><br \/>\nA nice specimen:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2012\/43_12.jpg\" alt=\"DSF0924\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>43_13<\/strong><br \/>\nIn the evening, I made a dish called &#8220;un-slimy okra&#8221;, basically okra baked for 15 minutes with halved cherry tomatoes and some olive oil, garlic, salt and pepper. Simple, delicious and light. Cheeta liked it too:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2012\/43_13.jpg\" alt=\"IGP6572\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And thus ended the week.
