I have often written about the Miracle of the Cactus, most recently <a href=\"http:\/\/nathansmusings.wordpress.com\/2012\/06\/17\/the-miracle-of-the-cactus\/\" onclick=\"_gaq.push(['_trackEvent', 'outbound-article', 'http:\/\/nathansmusings.wordpress.com\/2012\/06\/17\/the-miracle-of-the-cactus\/', 'here']);\" >here<\/a>. What is special this time is that a week after the double flowers wilted, a third flower suddenly appeared:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2012\/26_1.jpg\" alt=\"DSF0597\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>26_2<\/strong><br \/>\nThe next day, the flower was fully open:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2012\/26_2.jpg\" alt=\"DSF0599\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>26_3<\/strong><br \/>\nIt is really hot in Alicante right now. All creatures look for shade or A\/C:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2012\/26_3.jpg\" alt=\"DSF0601\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The rest of the pictures are from Saturday in Valencia.<\/p>\n<p><strong>26_4<\/strong><br \/>\nWith dry weather, strong wind, and temperatures around 40C, it is not surprising that forest fires are raging between Benidorm and Valencia. The wind is coming from inland, and so the smoke drifts onto the coast. This is early Saturday morning:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2012\/26_4.jpg\" alt=\"L1007838\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>26_5<\/strong><br \/>\nI walked around Valencia&#8217;s waterfront around 9 a.m. It is evident that this area is a popular spot for Friday night <em>bottel\u00c3\u0192\u00c2\u00b3ns<\/em>:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2012\/26_5.jpg\" alt=\"L1007841\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>26_6<\/strong><br \/>\nMassive beach cleanup:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2012\/26_6.jpg\" alt=\"L1007848\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>26_7<\/strong><br \/>\nFlag and jogger:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2012\/26_7.jpg\" alt=\"L1007847\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>26_8<\/strong><br \/>\nSleeper. It is hard to tell whether the guy is homeless or just &#8220;tired&#8221;; probably the former:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2012\/26_8.jpg\" alt=\"L1007849\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>26_9<\/strong><br \/>\nElderly woman on the way to the beach:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2012\/26_9.jpg\" alt=\"L1007851\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>26_10<\/strong><br \/>\nThen I went to the centre of town.
