\nSunday afternoon we often go down to a bar on the beach, where local musicians play from 5 to 7. This particular afternoon, the setting sun was absolutely magic, illuminating the far coast and Benidorm:

\nOne of the musicians at the Game Caf\u00c3\u0192\u00c2\u00a9 this Sunday was Pierre, who works at my office. His wife Iris records him on her iPad:

\nThis is where I went for lunch with some friends from work on Thursday. The place is called Adolfo’s Bodega, a real neighbourhood bar where there is no menu–you simply eat what was cooked that day:

\nThe proprietor, Victor, has a passionate interest in Spain’s early medieval history and has just written and published his first novel, set in Visigothic Spain in the 8th century. Here he signs my copy:

\nBack at the office, I continued my project of documenting Beatrice’s growth. She has three weeks to go:

\nThis is Mark, a Scottish co-worker and friend (he actually took the picture of me above). His wife is opening a new shop in our neighbourhood, and they are spending most of their free time getting the new place set up:

\nFinally, on Saturday night, we went to eat in one of the local sushi places with a conveyor belt. Having been to Japan and Taiwan, I fully realise that this is not “genuine” food but on a Saturday night when you don’t feel like cooking it will do just fine. And sometimes one can snap a picture of a fellow restaurant guest:
