The results are visible:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2011\/39_1.jpg\" alt=\"DSF0673\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>39_2<\/strong><br \/>\nCrossed legs at the office. I originally did not think much of the picture, until one of the women who appears in it pointed out the symmetry of the crossed legs:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2011\/39_2.jpg\" alt=\"DSF0687\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>39_3<\/strong><br \/>\nBBQ abstract:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2011\/39_3.jpg\" alt=\"DSF0693\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>39_4<\/strong><br \/>\nNow that autumn is here, sometimes we do have interesting skies. This is in our subdivision one morning:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2011\/39_4.jpg\" alt=\"DSF0709\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>39_5<\/strong><br \/>\nNext morning, same place:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2011\/39_5.jpg\" alt=\"DSF0735\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>39_6<\/strong><br \/>\nFriday, early evening. A visiting economist from the UK Intellectual Property Office, Ben, and his wife Trish. As usual when we get together, we end up in a bar:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2011\/39_6.jpg\" alt=\"DSF0743\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>39_7<\/strong><br \/>\nLater Friday night, I attended a CD launch event at a bar in the harbour of Alicante. The son of one of my colleagues, Wilma, who can best be described as a struggling artist but with lots of support from his family, has published his first album, with the title &#8220;Este sue\u00c3\u0192\u00c2\u00b1o de cantar&#8221;. Here is the proud mother at the launch party (on the left):<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2011\/39_7.jpg\" alt=\"DSF0752\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>39_8<\/strong><br \/>\nHere is the young man, Marvin, posing for me:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2011\/39_8.jpg\" alt=\"DSF0769\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>39_9<\/strong><br \/>\nPosing with his grandparents:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2011\/39_9.jpg\" alt=\"DSF0756\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>39_10<\/strong><br \/>\nGroupies, too:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2011\/39_10.jpg\" alt=\"DSF0757\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>39_11<\/strong><br \/>\nMarvin performing. He plays and sings very well, actually, and I hope his dream of building a music career is fulfilled:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2011\/39_11.jpg\" alt=\"DSF0774\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Saturday morning I was at Alicante airport, waiting for my sister and brother-in-law to arrive from Poland.
