This is my daughter&#8217;s chemistry teacher, Mr. Henderson:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2011\/4alt4.jpg\" alt=\"_1030721\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>Alternate 5<\/em><br \/>\nAnother band, with an attractive singer:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2011\/4alt5.jpg\" alt=\"_1030735\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>Alternate 6<\/em><br \/>\nPeople at the office know that I always have a camera with me. So one day a colleague came to my office to say that there was a very nice sky on view from her side of the building. And she was right:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2011\/4alt6.jpg\" alt=\"_1030741\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>Alternate 7<\/em><br \/>\nThursday night we had the monthly wine tasting at the office, this time a &#8220;duel&#8221; between wines from Spain&#8217;s two main wine regions, Rioja and Ribera del Duero:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2011\/4alt7.jpg\" alt=\"L1004499\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>Alternate 8<\/em><br \/>\nOur tastings are not just fun, there is an element of learning and seriousness to them:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2011\/4alt8.jpg\" alt=\"L1004508\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>Alternate 9<\/em><br \/>\nEgle is Lithuanian and Ania is Polish. This was Ania&#8217;s first tasting, while Egle is an experienced wino:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2011\/4alt9.jpg\" alt=\"L1004510\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The last three pictures are all on Avenida Vicente Ramos near my home, taken while walking my dog.<\/p>\n<p><em>Alternate 10<\/em><br \/>\nAnother one bites the dust. The bar\/restaurant business is always characterized by high turnover, and being in the midst of an economic crisis does not help. There are many bars in our neighbourhood, and most are thriving. For some reason this one did not:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2011\/4alt10.jpg\" alt=\"_1030744\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>Alternate 11<\/em><br \/>\nLocal butcher shop. I see customers there every time I walk by, so I am sure it will not suffer the fate of the neighbouring bar:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2011\/4alt11.jpg\" alt=\"_1030745\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>Alternate 12<\/em><br \/>\nMother and son.
