Lisbon has been one of my favourite cities since my first visit there three years ago. I have had the good fortune to be back there a few times since then, most recently this week in connection with my job. I travelled light, so rather than the Canon DSLR equipment I normally use, I took my little Ricoh GR Digital and my Leica CL, loaded with Tri-X. This was only the second roll of 35mm film I have shot this year.<\/p>\n

Praca do Comercio is a grand big square near the waterfront, surrounded by government buildings:

Nearby is the Cais do Sodre, a departure point of ferries to the other side of the river and a popular place to fish and hang out:

The day before two of Portugal’s football clubs, Porto and Benfica, both played in the Champions League and both performed poorly to miserably. Concerned football supporters look at the headlines of the papers:
