On the way, I stopped in the town of Zaltbommel, which has provided me with many photo opportunities during the past year. There was a market going on in the centre of town:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/38.jpg\" alt=\"6937\" \/><br \/>\n<em>(Canon 1D Mark II, 24-70mm L Canon, ISO 100)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Zaltbommel is the kind of town where people know each other. All the shopping is in the centre of town, so people meet while shopping and stop for a conversation, like these two ladies. The picture is shot from the &#8220;wrong side&#8221; as is evident from the flare in the background, but I like it anyway:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/38alt1.jpg\" alt=\"6935\" \/><br \/>\n<em>(Canon 1D Mark II, 24-70mm L Canon, ISO 100)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Outside the Albert Heijn supermarket there is a bicycle rack:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/38alt2.jpg\" alt=\"6933\" \/><br \/>\n<em>(Canon 1D Mark II, 24-70mm L Canon, ISO 200)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Then I went on to Rosmalen. There was a large meeting of afficionados of air-cooled VW cars; mostly Beetles in various states of enhancement, but also vans like the classic hippie minibuses from the 1960s, which I suppose were the forerunners of today&#8217;s minivans:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/38alt3.jpg\" alt=\"6958\" \/><br \/>\n<em>(Canon 1D Mark II, 24-70mm L Canon, ISO 200)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/38alt4.jpg\" alt=\"6961\" \/><br \/>\n<em>(Canon 1D Mark II, 24-70mm L Canon, ISO 200)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Then, last Friday we had a barbecue at the office, as we do occasionally.
