It is rare to be able to visit during harvest time, as most bodegas are too busy to entertain visitors. But the Bacchus wine club has good connections.<\/p>\n<p>Before getting to the wine, a couple of &#8220;miscellaneous&#8221; pictures.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Main<\/strong><br \/>\nI have recently been photographing my colleagues in the office for a project. This is Martin with his newborn daughter:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2010\/38.jpg\" alt=\"_1020469\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>\nAlternates<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p><em>Alternate 1<\/em><br \/>\nWoman and her dog outside the Aldi supermarket in El Campello. I cycle past this spot almost daily, and have often noticed her. She is not homeless, but seems to spend her entire day hanging out with her dog outside this supermarket. She does not beg; just hangs around:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2010\/38alt1.jpg\" alt=\"_1020422\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>Alternate 2<\/em><br \/>\nThis is the Sierra Salinas vineyard. Note the cyclist on the road in the foreground. Hard to imagine a nicer place to ride:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2010\/38alt2.jpg\" alt=\"L1002906\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>Alternate 3<\/em><br \/>\nRoad leading up to the vines:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2010\/38alt3.jpg\" alt=\"L1002913\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>Alternate 4<\/em><br \/>\nThat is what it is all about:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2010\/38alt4.jpg\" alt=\"L1002915\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>Alternate 5<\/em><br \/>\nThe grape pickers appear to be from South America. The work is hard, but they are paid by the hour, not by weight, so the pace is quick but bearable.
