Aside from that, more of the same compared to last week: cycling, my mother&#8217;s Magic Cactus, and some nice views. <\/p>\n<p><strong>20_1<\/strong><br \/>\nI start immodestly with a photo of me at our anniversary meeting, taken by my colleague Blanca with my camera:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2022\/20_1.jpg\" alt=\"DSF2615\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>20_2<\/strong><br \/>\nThis is the author of the previous photo, my colleague Blanca, chairing a session which includes Sergio Tirro from Europol in The Hague on the big screen:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2022\/20_2.jpg\" alt=\"DSF2606\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>20_3<\/strong><br \/>\nThe head of our office, Christian Archambeau, speaks:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2022\/20_3.jpg\" alt=\"DSF2618\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>20_4<\/strong><br \/>\nAnother colleague, Maria, whom I have known well since I came here almost 15 years ago:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2022\/20_4.jpg\" alt=\"DSF2589\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>20_5<\/strong><br \/>\nAnd another colleague, Stephanie, who features a lot in my photos from the office, here letting her guard down momentarily:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2022\/20_5.jpg\" alt=\"DSF2592\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>20_6<\/strong><br \/>\nMy mother&#8217;s cactus continued to thrill us with flower, a cycle of life and death compressed into a few days:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2022\/20_6.jpg\" alt=\"DSF2625\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>20_7<\/strong><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2022\/20_7.jpg\" alt=\"DSF2626\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>20_8<\/strong><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2022\/20_8.jpg\" alt=\"DSF2627\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>20_9<\/strong><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2022\/20_9.jpg\" alt=\"DSF2631\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>20_10<\/strong><br \/>\nWhen I do my pre-work bike rides in the morning, I do not stop for breaks or photos, since my focus is on getting the ride done and then go to the office. But one day, the hazy morning light was too beautiful to ignore. First I stopped during the initial few km along the beach:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2022\/20_10.jpg\" alt=\"1020330\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>20_11<\/strong><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2022\/20_11.jpg\" alt=\"1020329\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>20_12<\/strong><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2022\/20_12.jpg\" alt=\"1020333\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>20_13<\/strong><br \/>\nFrom another ride, on Saturday morning, three cats in Verdeg\u00c3\u00a1s eyeing me somewhat warily while I was getting my break:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2022\/20_13.jpg\" alt=\"1020335\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>20_14<\/strong><br \/>\nBut then they decided that I was not dangerous and did what cats do:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2022\/20_14.jpg\" alt=\"1020338\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>20_15<\/strong><br \/>\nIn the afternoon, we visited our Swiss\/English friends Michael and Georgina in their apartment in Moraira, set in the hills above the town and with a fabulous view, which I photographed from their balcony with my 90mm Leica Tele-Elmarit:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2022\/20_15.jpg\" alt=\"DSF2634\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>20_16<\/strong><br \/>\nTo finish off the blog, a photo from the centre, while I was having an after-work beer at Malatesta.
