The weather is getting better, within a couple of weeks we will start using the pool again.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Main<\/strong><br \/>\nMy daughter likes baking, and she has recently adopted my habit of taking a picture of the finished product before eating it:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2010\/5.jpg\" alt=\"_1000146\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>\nAlternates<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>Photographically speaking, the big event of the week was the arrival of my new 45mm macro lens for the Panasonic GF-1 camera. So Monday or Tuesday afternoon I stopped by the beach on the way home to try it out.<\/p>\n<p><em>Alternate 1<\/em><br \/>\nA small stone on Albufereta beach:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2010\/5alt1.jpg\" alt=\"_1000159\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>Alternate 2<\/em><br \/>\nStone and foam:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2010\/5alt2.jpg\" alt=\"_1000161\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>Alternate 3<\/em><br \/>\nSomeone forgot their towel:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2010\/5alt3.jpg\" alt=\"_1000162\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>Alternate 4<\/em><br \/>\nHand rail:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2010\/5alt4.jpg\" alt=\"_1000154\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>Alternate 5<\/em><br \/>\nAlexia is on maternity leave (the standard 20 weeks plus some vacation she had saved up). Thursday she stopped by the office with her baby:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2010\/5alt5.jpg\" alt=\"_1000168\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>Alternate 6<\/em><br \/>\nFriday I went to work a bit earlier than usual because of a morning meeting. But the side benefit was to see the sunrise from our terrace:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2010\/5alt6.jpg\" alt=\"_1000176\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>Alternate 7<\/em><br \/>\nFriday afternoon I went out for tapas with 3 of my colleagues. It actually had a serious purpose. Next week we are having our (purposely) delayed department Christmas party, which will take the form of a <em>tapeo<\/em>, or structured tapas hopping. So the Tapas Management Committee appointed by me had to scout out the places to hit next Friday. The first bar was La Rotonda, near the Mercado Central.
