There was a small market on the square&#8211;life is returning to normal&#8211;and there was also some kind of event to teach children the art of baking. The leaders were teenage girls, the participants were little kids. Here is one of the leaders giving instructions:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2021\/37_1.jpg\" alt=\"1010680\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>37_2<\/strong>:<br \/>\nPreparing the ingredients:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2021\/37_2.jpg\" alt=\"1010676\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>37_3<\/strong>:<br \/>\nCorona is still with us, so little hands must be sanitised first:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2021\/37_3.jpg\" alt=\"1010668\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>37_4<\/strong>:<br \/>\nThe children certainly enjoyed the event, small-town life at its best:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2021\/37_4.jpg\" alt=\"1010683\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>37_5<\/strong>:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2021\/37_5.jpg\" alt=\"1010681\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>37_6<\/strong>:<br \/>\nThis lady asked me where I lived, and then expressed admiration of my climbing up from sea level to the village (which is at around 350 meters altitude). I explained to her that this was small beer for me. She turned out to be Dutch, but had lived in the village for many years. She had a stand of things made out of trash. She told me that she was not in it for the money but rather she wanted to show her neighbours that beautiful things could made out of discarded items:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2021\/37_6.jpg\" alt=\"1010685\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>37_7<\/strong>:<br \/>\nAn example of her work, a basket made of plastic bags from various shops:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2021\/37_7.jpg\" alt=\"1010684\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>37_8<\/strong>:<br \/>\nThe next day I cycled to Jijona. This is a typical scene in the town. People are having their breakfast at one of the caf\u00c3\u00a9s:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2021\/37_8.jpg\" alt=\"1010690\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>37_9<\/strong>:<br \/>\nI took my break on a bench by this mural, which matches very well with the actual street in the background:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2021\/37_9.jpg\" alt=\"1010689\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>37_10<\/strong>:<br \/>\nA plaque in Jijona, honouring two local women who apparently lived a good Christian life in the good sense of the word:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2021\/37_10.jpg\" alt=\"1010691\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>37_11<\/strong>:<br \/>\nDuring my weekday pre-work rides, I had the opportunity to see familiar places like Busot in lovely morning light:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2021\/37_11.jpg\" alt=\"1010692\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>37_12<\/strong>:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2021\/37_12.jpg\" alt=\"1010695\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>37_13<\/strong>:<br \/>\nOn weekdays, I usually go for my rides between 7:30 and 9:00.
