A quiet week, with lots of time spent in a major conference on counterfeit cosmetics organised by our office together with Europol. The week ended with the major event on the football calendar, the final of the Champions League between Juventus and Barcelona.<\/p>\n

A note on the equipment used: I am conducting a bit of an experiment, shooting only with my “pocket” cameras for a couple of weeks, either the Ricoh GR or the Panasonic LX-100. Twenty of the 25 pictures in this week’s blog were taken with the LX-100, the rest with the GR.<\/p>\n

\nSaturday evening the Champions League final was played in Berlin, matching Juventus from Italy and Barcelona, considered the best team in the world right now. This little boy is ready:

\nWe went to watch the game with some friends. The host Cani (in red pants) is a Real Madrid supporter, but he still wanted Barcelona to win. Fernando is a Barcelona supporter, so he was of course more involved. At this point Barcelona is sitting on an early 1-0 lead and everyone is calm:

\nNow Juventus have equalised and the game is more even. The blood pressure is rising:

\nEven more agitated, although at this point Barcelona has re-taken the lead at 2-1:

\nThe game is over, Barcelona has won 3-1, and Fernando is satisfied:

\nCani travels to China on business from time to time and has some souvenir coasters with a picture of Chairman Mao and some text which I obviously cannot read. I found it deliciously ironic that the founder of Communist China now is used as a commercial product:

\nCani’s dog did not support either Juventus or Barcelona. He was happy when the game was over and he was no longer startled by periodic yelling:
