Not exactly your typical Dutch charming town:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/7alt2.jpg\" alt=\"2248\" \/><br \/>\n<em>(Canon 1D Mark II, 24-70mm L Canon, ISO 400)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>So, like many others, we set out for the Swiss Alps on Saturday 18th February. We drove a westerly route, going through Belgium, Luxembourg and France before crossing into Switzerland at Basel. This is a slightly longer way than going through Germany, but we wanted to avoid the expected traffic jams in southern Germany. A further advantage was that our route took us through my favourite part of France, Alsace, and we took advantage by stopping in the lovely town of Riquewihr.
