A full gallery is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.frozenlight.eu\/londonspring\" onclick=\"_gaq.push(['_trackEvent', 'outbound-article', 'http:\/\/www.frozenlight.eu\/londonspring', 'elsewhere']);\" >elsewhere<\/a>, but here I show the three images that are my personal favourites.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Main<\/strong><br \/>\nMillenium Bridge is probably one of the 10 most photographed spots in London. I have taken my share of the classic view of the bridge with St Paul&#8217;s across the river. This time, I wanted to try a different angle, and I am pretty pleased with the result:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2008\/18.jpg\" alt=\"4282176\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>\nThe alternates<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p><em>Alternate 1<\/em><br \/>\nThe second London image I highlight here is one I took during an early morning walk near my hotel. This property is in a good location, but is definitely a fixer-upper:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2008\/18alt1.jpg\" alt=\"4282151\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>Alternate 2<\/em><br \/>\nDuring the same morning walk, I was attracted to the shadows cast by the rising sun:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2008\/18alt2.jpg\" alt=\"4282149\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The rest of the images are again from my life in Alicante.<\/p>\n<p><em>Alternate 3<\/em><br \/>\nI enjoy walking my dog on the beach, partly because of sights like this:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2008\/18alt3.jpg\" alt=\"4262112\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>Alternate 4<\/em><br \/>\nOne expects to find a car wash in a petrol station, but I have never before seen a dog wash, like in this Repsol station:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2008\/18alt4.jpg\" alt=\"5012200\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>Alternate 5<\/em><br \/>\nThe dog did not seem to mind the bath:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2008\/18alt5.jpg\" alt=\"5012207\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>Alternate 6<\/em><br \/>\nBut one had to be on alert in case the dog decided to shake off:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2008\/18alt6.jpg\" alt=\"5012199\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>Alternate 7<\/em><br \/>\nMeanwhile, Thursday, besides being Labour Day, was also my dog&#8217;s 7th birthday. Her &#8220;cake&#8221; consists of a slice of my wife&#8217;s excellent quiche decorated with a <em>kabanos<\/em>, a type of Polish sausage:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"uploads\/2008\/18alt7.jpg\" alt=\"5012217\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>Alternate 8<\/em><br \/>\nOn Saturday, we went to visit some English friends who have a holiday apartment in Moraira, about 1\/2 hour north of Alicante.
