Thoughts from my car: Every weekday morning I drive about 120 km to my office in Eindhoven. This commute would be totally unbearable were it not for the BBC World Service, which has been my faithful companion in the car since 1995 (before that I lived in the USA and NPR performed a similar function then). Usually I hear something on the radio which makes me think about this or that issue, and sometimes I will post my thoughts here. Given the nature of the subjects, you will often disagree with me. And I invite you to express your views using the comments facility. But please keep the comments to the issues at hand and stay away from personal attacks.
Photography: Photography is my passion. I take pictures every day. I also look at a lot of pictures every day. In this category I will post images (of course!) but also tips & techniques, links to people whose work I find interesting, and general random thoughts on the art and craft of photography.
Other stuff: This category contains posts which do not fit in the other categories (surprise!). It can be a poem by my daughter, a personal experience, anything.
Note to Apple Safari users: because of a bug in Safari (or at least an incompatibility between Safari and WordPress, the software used for this blog), some images appear distorted when viewed in the Safari browser. I apologise for the inconvenience. At this point the only easy solution I can think of is to view this blog in some other browser, such as Firefox.
Comments: I encourage you to comment on any of my posts; however, in order to combat increasing amounts of comment spam, I have implemented a security measure which requires you to type in the answer to a simple addition problem (like 2+3=5). This proves that you are a human and not a spammer’s computer. Thanks in advance for your understanding.
